Support the First Eco-Friendly Mosque in Southeast Asia

The Ito Masjid (Mosque) Project represents a groundbreaking initiative to establish a center for Muslim worship and community activities in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture. This unique eco-friendly mosque will be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, serving as a comprehensive hub for the Muslim community in Fukuoka, Japan.

Through fundraising and awareness events involving students and local residents, the association has worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. Public programs such as Iftar dinners and Friday prayers have been organized at community centers, fostering connections and building bridges between communities.

The planned mosque will serve both the spiritual and practical needs of resident Muslims while acting as a vibrant focal point for cultural exchange. Opening its doors for educational events, religious celebrations, and cross-cultural gatherings, the Ito Masjid will welcome the wider Japanese community to learn, share, and grow together in mutual understanding and respect.

A mosque project by Fukuoka-Ito International Cultural Exchange Association, a legal Japanese body founded on December 2020 for Islamic education propose in western Fukuoka. We cooperate with KUMSA (Kyushu University Muslim Students Association) to establish an Islamic compound (school and mosque) to serve the Muslim community.
